This place fulfilled my pupusa craving. The pupusa are a generous size, they are $4 each. I ordered a revuelta which is filled with cheese, beans, and shredded pork. Also, ordered the beans and cheese pupusa. And of course I had to order the platanos Fritos with sour cream and refried beans- $11. I'm a little picky when it comes to eating beans, but these were good. My food came out within a reasonable time. I came in 30 minutes before closing and I did not feel rushed. The service was great. The restaurant is small there were only three tables. It is located in San Francisco so expect parking to be a hassle. I will for sure be returning.

The pollo asado (grilled chicken) plate $16 comes with rice, salad and two pupusas (flat bread.) The lack of seasoning on the salad was refreshing. If it wasn't for the flat bread, I would have still been hungry as the single chicken thigh was not enough for dinner. They were quite busy when I came at around 8pm on a Thursday.

Very tasty Pupusas. Large and varied menu. They have Atole de Elote which I think is hard to find.

the BEST pupusas I've ever had. a hole in the wall restaurant, and it is better if you speak spanish. not necessary, but helpful. cash only, and small front/downstairs. but its authentic af. there is a stairway that leads to a dining area on the upstairs, which took me and my friend by surprise. I had always been wanting to try this place when I find myself in the area on Wednesdays, but they are closed on this day during the week. so do not come on a Wednesday. I ordered a Plato Tipico #2. BOMB AF. and I loved that I got a little taste of more than just a pupusa in the plate, but also a tamale and empanada. I also got a hot chocolate, which tasted as I expected and my friend got an horchata, which I would say was also delicious.

Almost didn't make it here. Almost ... My friend and I did a few laps looking for this place and missed it until we parked, walked and found it. Another instance where Yelp steered me wrong. Someone had pinned the location on the wrong corner on Yelp. I added a correction but don't know if it'll take or not. Anyway ... It's not just take out. Know that it's two story. First level is the kitchen and I can only guess a waiting area. Dining area is up on two. If it's not busy, there's enough room and tables for a large group. Service was good. So was dinner. We shared: Platanos de Fritos Atol De Elote Platos Tipico #2 I've had Salvadoran cuisine before but not to the point that I can say this was authentic or not. I just know what I like or not. And I enjoyed the dishes even with the different textures from what I've had in the past. More on that later. I especially enjoyed the Atol De Elote. The sweetness wasn't overly done and I think I would have that again as dessert. The fried plantains mixed with the beans and sour cream surprised me. I wouldn't have ever thought to mix it altogether. Enjoyed it and would definitely have it again. I mentioned texture before. So, the Tamal - wasn't as firm as I've had and used to. I can't think of a better word but it was mushy. I liked it - would have liked it spicier and firmer or denser. The pupusas were thicker than I've had before too. I'm mentioning this knowing that there are regional differences with all kinds of food. I cleared my plate and let that be an indication of how I felt about my experience. Almost forgot to mention - street parking. And cash only.

**November 2022: Saturday Evening Visit** This is VERY hard to find. My friend and I drove around the area 3 times until we decided to just park and walk around. Eventually we found it and hopped in to enjoy some authentic Salvadorian food. I can't say I'm a connoisseur as I've only had pupusas a handful of times but do enjoy this cuisine. The restaurant is two floors with the main first floor as the kitchen and host table. Since we wanted to dine in we were directed to the second floor and given menus. We ordered the following Dinner Plata de Fritos Con Cream Y Fritos (Fried plantain served with refried beans and sour cream): This was fantastic. I would not have thought to pair these things together but the textures and flavor profile all worked really well together. Definitely a hit! Atol De Elote: Sweet Corn Soup - this was a nice hot dessert option that I gobbled up. Pupusas: pork, beans, and cheese - this was okay. They are handmade, but I felt it wasn't fried enough for me and was a tad doughy. Overall it was a nice authentic experience! Also - Cash only!
